What We Believe

OUR BELIEF CONCERNING THE BIBLE

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible, authoritative Word of God (Psalm 119:89; 2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Peter 1:25).

OUR BELIEF CONCERNING JESUS CHRIST

We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His vicarious atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal and visible return in the future to this earth in power and glory to rule over the nations (Matthew 27:1-66; 28:1-6; Luke 2:1-20; John 1:1-5; Acts 1:10, 11; 2:33; 5:31; Hebrews 4:14-15; 7:3; 1 Peter 3: 22 Revelation 1:7,8,17,18; 22:7, 12, 13, 20).

OUR BELIEF CONCERNING SALVATION

We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood and atonement of Jesus Christ. We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is an absolute essential for personal salvation (Acts 2:37, 38; Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 4:4-8).

We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer (Isaiah 53:1-5; Mark 11:22-24; Luke 4:18, 19; John 15:16; Acts 10:37-43; Acts 2:21; Romans 10:13).

OUR BELIEF CONCERNING THE HOLY GHOST

We believe that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4 is given to believers who ask for Him. (Matthew 7:7-8; 11).

OUR BELIEF CONCERNING SANCTIFICATION

We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a holy life. We believe holiness is the standard that God expects all believers to live by (Deuteronomy 7:6; 14:2; 26:16-19; 28:9; John 15:1-5, 7; 1 Peter 2:9-10).

OUR BELIEF CONCERNING THE ETERNAL JUDGMENT

We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation (Luke 16:19-31; Acts 15:11; 16:32; Acts 24:15; Romans 5:6-10; 6:3-6; 10:9-13; 1 Corinthians 15:12-22; Revelation 20:12-15; 21:1-8; 22:11-21).

OUR BELIEF CONCERNING 5 FOLD MINISTRY

We believe in the five-fold ministry of the church. We believe in all the Gifts of the Sprit being alive and in operation of the church (Acts 13:1,2; 1 Corinthians 12:1-14; 18-31; 14:1-32; Ephesians 4:8-12; 5:9-11).

OUR BELIEF CONCERNING GIVING

We believe in tithes and offerings as God’s financial plan for His church (Deuteronomy 18:1-5; 1 Chronicles 29:31; Malachi 3:8, 10-12; Proverbs 3:9-10; ; Luke 6:38; 1 Corinthians 16:1-2; 2 Corinthians 9:6-7; 1 Timothy 5:16-18).

OUR BELIEF CONCERNING PROSPERITY

We believe in spiritual and natural prosperity for all believers who walk by faith and who walk according to God’s covenant promises (Genesis 39:2-6; Deuteronomy 29:9; Joshua 1:8; 1 Chronicles 22:11; 2 Chronicles 20:20f; 31:21; 26:5; Nehemiah 1:11; 2:20; Psalm 1:1-3; 35:27; 122:6-9; 3 John 2).
